The Namibia Airports Company (NAC) will host the Airports Council International (ACI) Africa Aircraft Recovery Management Course from 6 to 10 July 2026 at the Hilton Hotel Garden Inn in Windhoek.

The five-day programme will bring together aviation professionals, airport operators, emergency response practitioners, regulators, and industry experts from across Africa. It is designed to strengthen aviation safety by equipping participants with the knowledge, skills, and best practices needed to manage aircraft recovery operations effectively after an airport incident or accident.

Aircraft recovery management is a vital part of airport emergency preparedness and operational resilience. It helps airports respond safely, efficiently, and in line with international aviation standards while minimising disruptions to operations.

The course will cover key areas of aircraft recovery management, including incident assessment, recovery planning, stakeholder coordination, resource mobilisation, safety considerations, risk management, and post-recovery evaluation. Participants will also take part in practical discussions and case studies based on real aviation incidents.

Hosting the course underscores Namibia’s commitment to aviation safety, operational excellence, and regional cooperation. It also supports NAC’s strategic goal of positioning Namibia as a hub for aviation training, knowledge sharing, and industry development in Africa.
