The Namibia Airports Company is a wholly State-owned company established in terms of the NAC Act (Act No. 25 of 1998) and governed by the State-owned Enterprises Act (Act No. 2 of 2006) and companies Act (Act No. 28 of 2004), to undertake the operation, management and control of certain aerodromes in Namibia, and to provide for incidental matters.
Suitably qualified and highly motivated candidates are invited to apply for the following position:
MANAGER: PROCUREMENT AND ADMINISTRATION
1 X POSITION: WINDHOEK: JOB GRADE (D3)
The incumbent reports to the Strategic Executive Finance & Administration
Purpose of this Position:
To formulate and drive a constant approach towards all sourcing, purchasing and bidding activity within Namibia Airports Company. Ensuring that value for money is maximized and cost savings are generated. To promote integrity, accountability, transparency, competitive supply, effectiveness, efficiency, fair-dealing, responsiveness, informed decision-making, consistency, legality and integration in the procurement of assets, works and services.
Job Competencies include:
Aptitude for technology
In consultation with the Accountable Official prepare the consolidated Annual Procurement Plan for the Company,
Draft and revise the Procurement Policy Procedures in line with National Legislation,
Administrative Management of Procurement data,
Coordinating and managing the Procurement unit staff members,
Preparing reports on all procurement activities and submit to relevant stakeholders,
Liaising with internal and external stakeholders on procurement matters,
Conducting training(s) on changes of legislation and procurement procedures,
Ensure that all procurement contracts are in place.
Educational Requirements / Experience:
An undergraduate degree in a related area such as Business Administration or Economics, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or Purchasing.
A Masters in Procurement will be an added advantage,
At least 5 years’ experience in Management of which three years will be within the procurement field,
Expert knowledge of tender processes and legislative policy environment,
Working knowledge of ICT software used for procurement purposes.
