The Keetmanshoop airport lies about 5 km outside the town of Keetmanshoop, some 500 km south of Windhoek.
The Keetmanshoop airport houses the Namibia Aviation Training Academy (NATA). Due to its capacity and good conditions,
Keetmanshoop airport has the potential to become an aircraft maintenance centre for Namibia.
With its strategic location the airport could serve as a tourism hub for charter operators after the proclamation of mining
towns such as Oranjemund and Rosh Pinah.
Keetmanshoop also has customs and immigration services and is able to handle cross border traffic into southern Namibia.
